The Baltimore Ravens have agreed a three-year extension with head coach John Harbaugh.
Harbaugh is preparing for his 18th season leading the Ravens, and he is now signed through the 2028 campaign.
He has posted a losing record just twice in his previous 17 years with the Ravens, whom he led to Super Bowl glory in the 2012 season.
Only Mike Tomlin, head coach of the Ravens’ AFC North rivals the Pittsburgh Steelers (18 seasons), has enjoyed a longer spell in charge of the same team among active coaches,
The Ravens have made the playoffs in six of the last seven seasons, though they have not returned to the Super Bowl since their dramatic victory over the San Francisco 49ers.

Harbaugh is tied-14th on the all-time regular-season wins list, having compiled 172 in his career, the same amount as Pro Football Hall of Famer Bill Parcells.
Barring what would be a remarkable winless season from a perennial Super Bowl contender, he will surpass Parcells in 2025 and will likely be in the top 10 by the end of his new deal.
By committing to keeping him at the helm for the next four seasons, the Ravens are banking on Harbaugh finally delivering the second Lombardi Trophy of his decorated career.
