It was the final act of another brilliant display from Daniels, who threw for 227 yards and ran for 127 more. He also threw three touchdowns to take his tally for the season to 25.
Asked to explain the Commanders’ success this season, tight end Ertz told ESPN: “It comes down to having a really good quarterback in this league.
“And from the moment I got here, seeing Jayden out there, I continually said this guy isn’t someone that’s going to be good, he’s good now.
“And when you have that position situated in this league, you have a chance. This organization is in a great spot for years to come.”

Record-breaking Daniels
Daniels’ brilliance was demonstrated by the fact he became the first quarterback in NFL history to throw for at least two touchdowns, throw for at least 200 yards and run for at least 65 yards in three consecutive games.
“He’s the most mature rookie I’ve ever been around. He exudes a quiet confidence,” added Ertz.
“He’s not a rah-rah guy. We all know how good he is and how much confidence we have in him. He doesn’t need to say anything.”
It is the first time since 2020 that Washington have reached the postseason. They have won 11 games and will end it with their first winning record since 2016.
