Stephen Curry will miss his second match of the Golden State Warriors’ last four when they host the Houston Rockets in the NBA on Thursday (10pm ET).
Curry’s average of 22.6 points per game is more than five clear of next-nearest teammate Andrew Wiggins, but the Warriors said he will not be involved at the Chase Centre because of bilateral knee injury management.
Forward Draymond Green will also miss out because of tightness in his left calf, having undergone an MRI scan on Wednesday.

Warriors vs Rockets
The Rockets have lost the last 14 editions of the fixture but their last win came when Curry did not feature in February 2020.
Ime Udoka’s team are on a two-game winning run in the NBA, beating the Oklahoma City Thunder 119-116 and the Philadelphia 76ers 122-115.
The Warriors have lost their last five, most recently 113-105 at the Phoenix Suns despite Curry contributing 23 points.

Kerr: Warriors ‘trying too hard’
“Most of these games in this stretch, we’re not closing,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr said after his side’s latest defeat.
“We’re not executing, we’re not making good decisions. We played a hell of a game for the most part… they’re competing, they’re trying, but we can’t [opposition teams] to the line 35 times.
“The guys are trying too hard; they’re closing out without any discernment about what’s about to happen.
“We’ve got a lot to work on. If we’re going to be a good team – and I think we can be – we’ve got to learn to execute and close games.”

Curry, Green injuries
Curry did not play in the 105-101 home defeat to the Thunder on November 27 because the 36-year-old was suffering from pain in both knees.
“I’ll be 100% honest: I’m a little afraid,” Green said, discussing his injury on his podcast this week. “But in saying that, I have confidence in our staff.
“I have confidence that I’m getting ahead of it right now, because the smart thing to do is to catch it while I’m already getting these symptoms.”
