Damian Lillard scored 34 points, with Giannis Antetokounmpo netting 31 points and 16 rebounds as the Milwaukee Bucks ended a six-game losing streak by beating the Utah Jazz 123-100 on Thursday night.

Antetokounmpo was back in action after missing a 116-114 loss at Cleveland on Monday night because of a muscle strain.

The Bucks hadn’t lost six straight games since March 2015 and put together a 17-1 scoring run late in the third quarter to get back to winning ways.

Elsewhere, Anthony Edwards scored 33 points to help the Minnesota Timberwolves to a 135-119 win over the Chicago Bulls.

Julius Randle also added 22 points and 10 rebounds as Minnesota scored 45 points in the fourth quarter to subject the Bulls to their fourth consecutive defeat.

Malaki Branham and Keldon Johnson each scored 17 points off the bench as San Antonio Spurs won 118-105 against the Portland Trailblazers.

It was Portland’s third loss in four games, despite Deandre Ayton and Jerami Grant both adding 21 points for the visiting team.

The Spurs are unsure when, or if, Gregg Popovich will return as coach this season.

Popovich, 75, suffered a medical episode last Saturday. Acting head coach Mitch Johnson said Popovich – the oldest coach in NBA history – is improving.

“I would say that he’s doing good,” Johnson said.

“We’ve been talking. I’ve had my hands full with this, in trying to stay above water. So, we have not talked details and I’m not sure, about anything – I have no details.”
