Steph Curry scored 27 points as the Golden State Warriors beat the Boston Celtics 118-112 on Wednesday night for their fifth straight victory.

Andrew Wiggins also added 16 points for Golden State (7-1). Curry played his second straight game after missing three with an ankle injury.

Jayson Tatum led reigning champions Boston (7-2) with 32 points, and Derrick White had 26 with six rebounds.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr was booed by a TD Garden crowd that showed its displeasure over how he used Tatum at the Paris Olympics while coaching Team USA.

“It wasn’t on my mind,” Tatum said of the Olympics. “It was just another Wednesday, another game, another opportunity to be the best player I can be. Another day to try and get a win.

“People are going to be loud, people are going to be mean, whatever. I’m going to approach things how I want to approach them, what I feel is sincere and who I am as a person.”

Tatum won gold in Paris but was not involved in big games against Serbia in he group stage and semi-final stage as Kerr left him out.

“I don’t give it a whole lot of thought other than I didn’t enjoy not playing Jayson against Serbia, or not playing Joel (Embiid) against South Sudan,” Kerr said when asked if he had any regrets.

“Those are not fun decisions, but our guys were all amazing.

“They committed to each other, they committed to winning the gold medal. They brought the gold home for their country.

“I’m a patriotic American. I love my country. Three Celtics on the team, who won a world championship, and two months later won a gold medal. Pretty incredible stuff.”

The Warriors are at the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday night, and the Celtics host the Brooklyn Nets.
