Steph Curry’s reputation as the greatest shooter of all-time is secured, but it appeared Golden State Warriors teammate Buddy Hield needed a reminder of his status in the Golden State Warriors’ latest victory on Tuesday.
The Warriors boosted their hopes of finishing as one of the top six seeds in the Western Conference with a blowout 133-95 victory over the Phoenix Suns.
Golden State had seven players tally double-digit points, Curry leading the way with 25 after scoring only three in the Warriors’ loss to the Houston Rockets on Sunday.
But he could have had more against the Suns had Hield not passed up an opportunity to get the ball to a wide-open Curry in the second half.,
That prompted head coach Kerr to take an unconventional step while coaching Hield during a timeout, reintroducing the guard to his two-time MVP teammate.
"Buddy, that's Steph Curry… greatest shooter in the world, wide open"

“Buddy, that’s Steph Curry. Steph, Buddy Hield. I want you guys to meet each other,” said Kerr.
He continued: “Say hello to Steph he’s the greatest shooter in the history of the world. Wide open!’
After Hield pleaded that Curry “came open late”, Kerr hugged Hield and added “I love you, Buddy.”
The Warriors are in a four-way tie for the fourth seed in the West at 47-32. They are one game behind the Los Angeles Lakers (48-31) in the third seed spot with three regular-season games remaining.
Golden State will be sure of a top-six spot, meaning the Warriors would avoid the play-in tournament, with victory in each of those matchups.
Following the trade for Jimmy Butler, the Warriors have re-established themselves as serious contenders for what would be a fifth NBA title under Kerr’s leadership.
Their odds of achieving that feat will be greatly improved if Hield heeds Kerr’s obvious message about passing to the best shooter basketball has ever seen.
