Jake Paul ‘accepts’ fight with world heavyweight champion who beat Anthony Joshua

Paul has received plenty of attention since beating Mike Tyson

Jake Paul on his way to his boxing match with Mike Tyson

Jake Paul has claimed he will accept a fight with Daniel Dubois after the IBF heavyweight champion reached out via Instagram to offer him a shot at the championship.

The YouTuber-turned boxer has been receiving plenty of offers since downing Mike Tyson in Texas last Friday.

Paul beat Tyson, who was the undisputed world heavyweight champion from 1987 to 1990, via unanimous decision following eight two-minute rounds with the 58-year-old.

The Netflix-broadcasted bout garnered criticism due to the 31-year age gap between the two but the 27-year-old could now be set for his biggest test yet after a message from IBF champion Dubois.

Paul revealed an Instagram message from Dubois – who beat Anthony Joshua in stunning fashion in September – seemingly calling the controversial YouTuber out.

The message read: “Hi Jake, good business on the weekend but how would you feel fighting for the legitimate heavyweight championship of the world this is Daniel Dubois calling you out. Let’s get it on’.

Paul responded with a picture of a ticket dispenser with the word “get in line” before writing on X: “Man been boxing for 12 years, has over 100 fights between amateur and pro and fought on my undercard…hahaha.

“But f*** it…I’m going to have Nakisa talk to Frankie Warren and get you in line for the throne. Unlike Artur, at least you have a few thousand fans.”

Plenty of current stars are reaching out to Paul – either with an eye of putting the YouTube star “in his place” or attracting a big payday, with Tyson reportedly banking £20million and Paul £40m for last week’s fight.

Dubois retained his IBF world title with a memorable victory over Joshua at Wembley on September 21, flooring his fellow Brit four times and delivering a knockout in the fifth round.

Many were expecting a rematch between Dubois and Joshua on February 22 but promoter Eddie Hearn said AJ may not be ready in time due to the “fast turnaround”.

Dubois and his promoter Frank Warren are therefore looking at alternative options, with Joseph Parker and Fabio Wardley named as potential opponents.
