Daytona 500 weather forecast

The start time has been moved forward by 30 minutes because weather conditions are forecast to deteriorate as the race progresses.

Forecasters say there is more than a 50% chance of rain at the start, rising to around 74% during the spectacle.

Last year’s race was moved to Monday because of the conditions. Should this year’s need to be completed a day later, the weather at Daytona this Monday is forecast to be sunny.
