Billy Horschel leads the rest of the pack heading into the final round of The Open at Royal Troon.
The American finished on -4 for the day, one ahead of Englishman Dan Brown.
Brown had the chance to head in on terms or even ahead of the leader but double bogeyed the 18th hole after missing his first two putts.
Horschel bogeyed the last himself but will be in pole position to win on Sunday.
It was yet another wet and windy day in Scotland, with testing conditions causing a fall-off for Friday’s leader Shane Lowry.
The Irishman is now three shots off the lead at -1 and sits one back from world No.1 Scottie Scheffler.

Lowry posted five bogeys in six holes on the back nine and his frustration was evident on the last hole after he hit his drive into the bunker and took two air swipes in anger.
Elsewhere, five other players sit on -3 with Brown, including Justin Rose and Xander Schauffele.
Thriston Lawrence, Russell Henley and Sam Burns are the other players still tagging along as part of the chasing pack.
Si-Woo Kim made a terrific hole in one on the par-three 17th and gained the cheers of those still out on the course in the miserable weather.
Horschel will tee off last tomorrow hoping to strengthen his score to claim a first major.
But realistically, any of the top eight could still win, especially if these tricky conditions remain.
Brown will be looking to bounce back after impressing on the first two days.
