USMNT captain Christian Pulisic has denied reports he had a bust-up with new AC Milan coach Sergio Conceicao and threatened to quit the Serie A club.
La Repubblica this morning reported Pulisic and Conceicao had a heated confrontation at half-time in the defeat to Dinamo Zagreb in the final game of the revamped Champions League group phase on January 29.
The newspaper even went as far to say Pulisic informed the Milan board of his desire to quit the Rossoneri in the summer if Conceicao was kept on.

It is unusual for a club to respond to a claim of this nature but Milan put some Pulisic quotes on their X feed this afternoon that read: “I have never argued with the coach and I have never asked to leave. I am very happy at Milan and I want to continue wearing this shirt.
“Reading these lies is unacceptable, but let’s all continue to remain united and fight together on the pitch, for the club and for our fans.”
Champions League elimination
The defeat to Zagreb saw Milan slip out of the automatic qualification places for the Champions League round of 16 and into the playoffs spots.
That meant they were forced to play a two-legged tie against Feyenoord which the Dutch side won 2-1 on aggregate.
Pulisic started the second leg at San Siro on Tuesday but was withdrawn after 63 minutes of the 1-1 draw, shortly after Milan had been reduced to 10 men following the dismissal of French defender Theo Hernandez.
