Argentina captain Lionel Messi has been included in the Copa America Team of the Tournament.
The Inter Miami star features alongside four other international compatriots, including Lautaro Martinez, Emiliano Martinez, Cristian Romero and Rodrigo De Paul.
Messi was withdrawn in the final with an ankle injury and only scored one goal and provided one assist across five appearances at the tournament.
But despite this, he was included in the best XI after lifting the trophy for the second consecutive time.
It was Martinez’s goal that secured the title for Argentina and he was joined in attack by Brazil’s Raphinha – the only player from the nation included.
Colombia captain James Rodriguez earned the title of MVP for his exploits and features with De Paul and Uruguay’s Manuel Ugarte in midfield.

Celtic’s Canadian defender Alistair Johnston earned a spot with Colombia and former Tottenham centre-back Davinson Sanchez, Romero and Ecuador’s Piero Hincapie.
And with Martinez protecting the goal, Copa America’s Team of the Tournament is truly stacked with talent.
The Aston Villa stopper saved two penalties in the shootout win over Ecuador in the quarter-finals, allowing Messi to get his hands on another international trophy having won the World Cup in 2022.
