Jack Draper powered his way into the US Open semi-final on Wednesday with a straight-sets win over Australian Alex De Minaur.
Draper, who secured a place in the last four of a major for the first time, won 6-3 7-5 6-2 and will now face either world number one Jannik Sinner or Daniil Medvedev on Friday.

Tenth seed De Minaur appeared to be playing with an injury and certainly was not at his mobile best but that should not detract from another wonderful performance from Draper, who has yet to lose a set at Flushing Meadows.
The tall left-hander served 11 aces and hit 40 winners to become the first Briton to reach the semis in New York since Andy Murray won the title in 2012.
In his on-court interview, Draper said: “Honestly, to be out here in my first match on the biggest court in the world is a dream come true.
“I think I played a solid match. I feel the best fitness wise that I have in a long long time. That’s where Alex has got me in the past. I think he was struggling a little bit today with something which may have helped me a little bit. Credit to Alex, he is an amazing fighter, an unbelievable player and we are going to have many more battles to come.”

Draper and De Minaur was the second match on Ashe on Wednesday with Karolina Muchova and Beatriz Haddad Maia opening the day’s proceedings.
The women’s quarterfinal went the way of Muchova, who was far too good for her Brazilian opponent, winning 6-1 6-4 in 85 minutes.
Next up for the Czech is a semi-final clash with either top seed Ina Swiatek or home favourite Jessica Pegula.
