Queens Park Rangers vs Coventry City match preview

Two sides desperate for a return to winning ways are set to lock horns in a Championship clash at Loftus Road this Saturday, September 30th.

The matchup in question will see Queens Park Rangers act as hosts, in a meeting with Coventry City.

Beginning with the former, QPR have endured an altogether hit-and-miss time of things of late.

Though the Hoops have been condemned to defeat in just of their last four, they have also managed just one victory across this stretch.

Each of their last two, meanwhile, have ended in stalemate.

Most recently, Gareth Ainsworth’s troops made the trip to St. Andrew’s Stadium, for a showdown with Birmingham City.

Such efforts, all told, leave the capital outfit sitting 19th in the table, three points clear of the bottom three.

Clear of their upcoming opponents by way of little more than goal difference, meanwhile, are Coventry.

Since missing out on promotion to the Premier League in agonizing fashion last time out, the Sky Blues have failed to recover in any way, shape of form.

Across eight league outings to date, Mark Robins’ men have managed just a solitary victory.

No fewer than five of the club’s fixtures, on the other hand, have ended as draws. In fact, as much has proven the outcome in all but one of the Sky Blues’ last six Championship fixtures.

The most recent saw Coventry finally look set for a three-point haul, only for Huddersfield Town to level things up, and snatch a point in the process, a full five minutes into injury-time.

So, all of this considered, how do we at 101 envision Saturday’s action playing out at Loftus Road?

Based on recent form, an eventual sharing of the spoils between QPR and Coventry certainly looks the safest bet.
