Davies has not passed five assists in his time at Bayern so to get two on the opening day bodes well for a best-ever season.

Following a £10,000,000 summer move from Borussia Monchengladbach to Bayer Leverkusen, Hofmann made the best possible first impression on his new teammates with a crucial assist in the 3-2 win over RB Leipzig. The hosts produced a clinical performance to see off the Supercup winners and Hofmann, playing in an advanced role behind the forward line, was a constant threat with the ball and threatening the opposition area while also doing his own defensive duties to ensure a good score.
