Best Sorare players in the Bundesliga Gameweek 399

Harry Kane kicked off his Bundesliga career in typical fashion with a goal and an assist as Thomas Tuchel’s side sent out a warning to the rest of the league with a dominat 4-0 win over Werder Bremen on the opening day of the season.

RB Leipzig, the side who had beaten Bayern in the Supercup so convincingly last week, came out on the wrong end of a 3-2 defeat to Bayer Leverkusen while last season’s runners up Borussia Dortmund nicked a late 1-0 win at home to Koln, with Donyell Malen scoring an 88th-minute winner.

Each week 101 Great Goals will look at the best performing players in each position in Sorare Bundesliga to give you an insight into which players might be worth considering as we head into the next gameweek.

Goalkeeper

Alexander Nubel – 77

Having narrowly survived relegation into the second tier, Stuttgart strengthened over the summer with the addition of Nubel to their squad from Monaco and its fair to say they have hit the ground running. A big 5-0 win kicked off their season in the best possible way and while Nubel wasn’t overly busy, he did have to make a couple of saves that gave him an early good score for his new club.

Nubel’s breakdown of Sorare points in the game was:

  • General: 0
  • Goalkeeping: 14.5
  • Possession: 2.1
  • Attack: 0
  • Decisive: 60

Defender

Alphonso Davies – 99

The flying Canadian missed the end of last season but looked back to his best as Bayern recovered from their Supercup defeat to RB Leipzig in emphatic fashion, coasting past Werder Bremen 4-0 to make an early season statement. Davies was a creative force with his direct running, and laid on two assists for his teammates to earn himself an almost faultless score. Davies has not passed five assists in his time at Bayern so to get two on the opening day bodes well for a best-ever season.

  • General: 6
  • Defence: 0
  • Possession: 1.6
  • Attack: 21.5
  • Decisive: 70

Midfielder

Jonas Hofmann – 98

Following a £10,000,000 summer move from Borussia Monchengladbach to Bayer Leverkusen, Hofmann made the best possible first impression on his new teammates with a crucial assist in the 3-2 win over RB Leipzig. The hosts produced a clinical performance to see off the Supercup winners and Hofmann, playing in an advanced role behind the forward line, was a constant threat with the ball and threatening the opposition area while also doing his own defensive duties to ensure a good score.

Hofmann’s breakdown of Sorare points in the game was:

  • General: 4
  • Defence: 11
  • Possession: 7
  • Attack: 15.5
  • Decisive: 60

Forward

Kevin Behrens – 93

It takes some performance to better Harry Kane’s Bundesliga debut which saw him net a goal and an assist, but Behrens was the standout performer on the opening Bundesliga weekend. The Union Berlin forward netted a sublime hat-trick in the 4-1 win over Mainz 05 which means he is well on the way to passing last season’s total of eight league goals. A yellow card was possibly the only thing holding him back from netting the perfect score at the first time of asking.

Behrens’ breakdown of Sorare points in the game was:

  • General: 0.5
  • Defence: 0
  • Possession: 3.6
  • Attack: 9.5
  • Decisive: 80
