Goalkeeper
Alexander Nubel – vs Toulouse (h)
Nubel has been a steady influence for Monaco rather than a strong one, with a string of lower scores in Sorare towards the end of the season. Despite playing for one of the better sides in the league, Nubel has an L15 of just 38, rising to an L5 of 46 in recent weeks. A final home game against Toulouse is favourable and even though Monaco have conceded more goals than any other side in the top half of the league, their keeper has scored highly before and could do so again.
Defender
Lilian Brassier – Rennes (h)
The Brest defender has been in good form of late, scoring highly in the 2-1 win over Marseille last week thanks to a last-man tackle. It gave him a score of 71 which was a third consecutive score over 60 and a third win on the bounce for the side. It means he has an impressive L5 of 59 and given Brest’s impressive recent form, it is not hard to see them doing well once again against Rennes at home.
Midfielder
Maxence Caqueret – Nice (a)
Caqueret has been one of the form players in Ligue 1 towards the end of the season, with two scores over 95 and one of 100 in his last four matches to give him an incredible L5 of 83. He has three goals and an assist in that time and he has been integral to what has been a brilliant run-in for Lyon, with seven wins in their last nine matches to finish the season. He has played a variety of roles across the middle of the park, whether it’s in a deeper position, out wide or further forward, but has always found a way to dictate the game in what has been the best season of his career, with four goals and seven assists far outweighing previous efforts.
