Gameweek 373: Sorare Ligue 1 top performers

Manchester City lifted their fifth Premier League title in six seasons under Pep Guardiola as Arsenal’s title challenge finally fizzled out with a tame defeat at now-safe Nottingham Forest.

They crowned their win with a 1-0 win over Chelsea on Sunday, after West Ham seemingly condemned Leeds to relegation back to the Championship with an easy 3-1 win while Manchester United took a firmer grip on fourth place.

Each week 101 Great Goals will look at the best performing players in each position in SorareLigue 1 to give you an insight into which players might be worth considering as we head into the next gameweek.

Goalkeeper

Maxime Dupe – 90

Toulouse picked up a third draw on the bounce with a goalless draw on the road at Nice, with Dupe claiming a third successive clean sheet. It continues a remarkable run of form for the defence, which has now conceded just one goal in five matches – a run of form that has contributed to a fine L5 score of 67 for Dupe. His latest score of 90 is the peak of that run, thanks largely in part to the eight saves he made, including four from inside the box and one diving save to give him a goalkeeping total of 30 in addition to a decisive score of 60.

Dupe’s breakdown of Sorare points in the game was:

  • General: 0
  • Goalkeeping: 30
  • Possession: -0.4
  • Attack: 0
  • Decisive: 60

Defender

Emmanuel Agbadou – 94

Reims had been one of the good news stories of the season until their recent run of poor form saw them drop down the Ligue 1 table, and there was more disappointment in GW 373 with a 2-2 draw at bottom club Angers. Agbadoi has been one of the standout performers all season for the club however, with consistently high performances and scores despite limited availability, and his assist was crucial in another score above 90. He won his share of tackles and duels to contribute good scores in possession, but his side’s vulnerability at the back means he missed out on the perfect score.

  • General: 2
  • Defence: 9
  • Possession: 19.5
  • Attack: 3
  • Decisive: 60

Midfielder

Maxence Caqueret – 100

The defensive midfielder has enjoyed a career-best season in front of goal with three to his name heading into the final stages of the season – he had never scored in a league game before this season – and seven assists too, making it a total of 10 goal contributions. Lyon have been on a good run of form with six wins in their last eight, and Caqueret’s form has been crucial to that with an L15 of 61 and L5 of 71. His latest performance is the second time he has reached the peak of 100 this season – the first was in GW 345 – and came thanks to his contribution of one goal, 58 accurate passes and three attempted assists.

Caqueret’s breakdown of Sorare points in the game was:

  • General: 6.5
  • Defence: 5
  • Possession: 20.9
  • Attack: 15.5
  • Decisive: 60

Forward

Amine Gouiri – 94

Gouiri was a standout performer across Europe during GW 373 after netting a fine hat-trick in Rennes’ 5-0 win over Ajaccio. The three goals make it the best goalscoring season of his career, currently standing at 14 for the season (plus three assists) all contributed from the left side of the attack. Despite hitting double figures, there had been no real indication of his form going into the game, with an L15 of 50 rising to 62 in his L5. He did tally a score of 95 in GW 367, suggesting he is finishing the season on a high.

Gouiri’s breakdown of Sorare points in the game was:

  • General: -0.5
  • Defence: 0
  • Possession: 5.1
  • Attack: 9.5
  • Decisive: 80
