Eddie Howe’s side were irresistible in seeing off the much-fancied Aston Villa, while Chelsea and Liverpool played out an entertaining 1-1 draw on Sunday that suggested better things are to come from both sides this season.

Aaron Ramsdale
We’re subbing out Jordan Pickford for Aaron Ramsdale this week, with the Gunners facing a favourable trip to Selhurst Park. While it is far from a straightforward game, they will fancy themselves to get the job done and without a clinical striker to face it should provide Ramsdale with the chance to pick up some points and a clean sheet. The Arsenal keeper faces competition for the number one spot since the arrival of David Raya but this should inspire the England man to greater heights and we’re backing him to cement his place.

Bukayo Saka
After picking Saka last week, there is absolutely no need to remove him from our starting side and he is likely to be in there for some time to come. Saka provided an early reminder of his ability with a rocket into the far corner to open the scoring in the 2-1 win over Nottingham Forest and more is sure to come from the winger, who will hope to push the 20-goal mark in the league this season. It doesn’t matter who the opposition is, he will cause the defence problems and should back up last week’s score of 85.
Kaoru Mitoma
If last week is anything to go by, Mitoma’s impact of last season was no flash in the pan. There had been concerns that defences may have figured him out this year but he picked up where he had left off with a fine display in the 4-1 win over Luton. He got one assist in the game and though he didn’t get on the scoresheet himself, he still managed to score 82. A trip to Wolves should be another good chance to score well.
Erling Haaland
As if anyone needed any reminding, Haaland started the season with two goals away at Burnley to show the Premier League that he has lost none of his hunger. The injury to Kevin de Bruyne could prove a slight bump in the road for the big Norwegian with the Belgium creator a major part in the link-up play, but Newcastle’s defence will still be very occupied with keeping him quiet and preventing him from improving on last week’s score of 82.
