4 Sorare Serie A gems for Gameweek 373

Gameweek 373 sees the mouthwatering tie between Scudetto winners Napoli and Champions League-chasing and in-form Inter Milan in Sorare Serie A.

At the other end of the table in a game that could have huge consequences, 16th-placed Lecce host 17-placed Spezia – fresh from beating AC Milan – with both sides one Hellas Verona win from being dragged into the bottom three.

101 Great Goals has looked at the data to see which players you should consider picking for the week ahead in your Sorare Serie A team, analysing the most in-form players judging by their last five average scores and looked at who each player is to come up against in the next gameweek to suggest who you should pick in your side.

Goalkeeper

Marco Sportiello – vs Verona (h)

Sportiello has not been a regular in the Atalanta goal this season, but he has been enjoying a run in the starting XI in recent weeks – though to no great effect. The 31-year-old has yet to score beyond 56 in the five games he has played since the 2-2 draw with Spezia in January, but a clash with Hellas Veronas could put an end to that. Given that he has not always been a regular, picking Sportiello could be an intriguing differential against the side with the second least amount of goals in Serie A.

Defender

Johan Vasquez – vs Bologna (h)

Cremonese have had a tough season and with 61 goals conceded in their 35 league games, have the second worst defence by just one goal (Sampdoria have conded 62) but Vasquez has offered some encouragement even if their relegation is likely to be confirmed this weekend. The defender hasn’t been a high scorer throughout the season – his last 15 (L15) average score is 50 – but in recent weeks those performances have gone through the roof, scoring a 77, 67, 63 and 90 in his last five weeks, including one goal against Spezia. Cremonese might not be performing well as a unit, but Vasquez is coming out with credit in those defeats.

Midfielder

Leandro Paredes – vs Empoli (a)

Juventus midfielder Paredes has been in and out of the team this season, and unable to put together a run of consistent form that would establish himself in the side. However with Paul Pogba’s latest injury – set to rule him out for the remainder of the season – he looks set to finish the campaign in the line-up, even if there has been doubt over where his future lies beyond the end of the season. Despite only contributing one goal and two assists this season, his last two performances have been up there with his best scoring a 78 and an 80 and with the side likely to be rotated for the Europa League, he should come back into the team to face Empoli.

Forward

Boulaye Dia – vs Roma (a)
