Sorare Bundesliga football preview: Bayern Munich vs RB Leipzig

Bayern Munich could take one step closer to sealing the Bundesliga title on Saturday as they host third-placed RB Leipzig, themselves looking to secure a top four spot.

A win would be enough for Leipzig, while Bayern will win the title if Dortmund lose away at Augsburg and go into the game on a run of three successive wins.

The game will be part of Gameweek 371 on Sorare Football, and 101 Great Goals has broken down the key statistical takeaways ahead of the game.

Three Bayern MunichSorare gems to watch

Serge Gnabry

Though not normally a striker, Serge Gnabry has been tasked with leading the line for Bayern in recent weeks, and responded brilliantly. Though he had a spell out of the side at the start of the year, he has forced his way back in and underlined his importance to the squad, highlighted with four goals in his last three appearances. That improved form is shown in his Sorare average scores, with a last 15 (L15) average rating of 45 jumping up massively to 67 in his L5 – notably when he started playing up front.

Noussair Mazraoui

Full-back Noussair Mazraoui has been in and out of the side since joining last summer, and has already been linked with a major move away from Munich this summer. However he has recently established himself on the right in the side, making four successive appearances and scoring highly with an L5 of 74 after scores of 85, 51, 72 and 57 in those four starts. His overall stats are lowered because of the lack of gametime, but he could be a good option for this weekend as a differential.

Three RB Leipzig Sorare gems to watch

Kevin Kampl

Midfielder Kampl has been enjoying a good run of form in recent weeks, with his L5 scores of 52 outweighing his L15 and L40 averages of 41. While he is another player who has been rotated in and out of the side, it hasn’t affected his returns with two goals and an assist in his last five matches a good return for a player in his position.

Willi Orban

Orban was singled out last week after a string of impressive performances, and he continued that against Werder Bremen with a score of 86 and a goal. With three scores on the bounce of 86, 66 and 85, he is a man in hot form and even a game against Bayern Munich shouldn’t be enough to distract managers. With RB Leipzig boasting one of the best defensive records in the division, he is currently hot property.

Janis Blaswich

Blaswich faces a tough challenge against the top scorers in Bundesliga – Bayern have scored 11 goals more than the next highest goalscorers Dortmund. However goalkeepers tend to score best when they have a lot of work to do, and Blaswich should expect to be a busy man. Leipzig do have the third-best defensive record in the league and with Blaswich returning scores of 63 and 69 in his last three matches, they have a keeper in form to lean on.
