Best Sorare players in the Serie A Gameweek 399

Napoli got their title defence off to a perfect start after coming from behind to beat Frosinone 3-1 on the opening day of the Serie A season, with Victor Osimhen netting a double to hit the ground running.

Roma were held to a 2-2 draw by Salernitana while Charles De Ketelaere got over his Milan nightmare by netting on his Atalanta debut in a 2-0 win over Sassuolo, while Juventus did enough to see off Udinese with three first-half goals in what turned out to be a routine 3-0 win.

Each week 101 Great Goals will look at the best performing players in each position in Sorare Serie A to give you an insight into which players might be worth considering as we head into the next gameweek.

Goalkeeper

Juan Musso – 91

Atalanta faced a tricky opening day trip to Sassuolo, but overcame them comfortably with a 2-0 win but that was in large part down to the work done by Musso between the sticks. The keeper made a crucial intervention along with three saves, two diving saves and one close range save to earn him plenty of goalkeeping points as well as a high decisive score. Atalanta will once again be one of the stronger sides in Serie A so Musso could be one to watch.

Musso’s breakdown of Sorare points in the game was:

  • General: 0
  • Goalkeeping: 23
  • Possession: -2.2
  • Attack: 0
  • Decisive: 70

Defender

Giovanni Di Lorenzo – 86

Napoli got their title defence up and running with a comfortable 3-1 win away at Frosinone, and Di Lorenzo was a creative force, picking up two assists from full-back to start his own season off in the best possible fashion. He made seven goal contributions last season – three goals and four assists – and with two on the board already he will be looking to fly past that total this season.

  • General: -2
  • Defence: -1
  • Possession: 2.3
  • Attack: 16.5
  • Decisive: 70

Midfielder

Giacomo Bonaventura – 82

Bonaventura was everywhere as Fiorentina cruised to a 4-1 win at Genoa, with a goal and an assist – albeit balanced out with a yellow card. Put in a more advanced role in midfield, Bonaventura was a constant nuisance and will hope this start to the season will help him improve on last season’s return of just six goal contributions – five goals and one assist. His potential of getting into the box makes him a good Sorare asset.

Bonaventura’s breakdown of Sorare points in the game was:

  • General: -3.5
  • Defence: 1
  • Possession: 7.1
  • Attack: 7
  • Decisive: 70

Forward

Olivier Giroud – 78

Even at the age of 36, Giroud shows no signs of slowing down with another crucial performance for AC Milan in their win over Bologna on the opening day. The French striker may gradually become more of a rotated option but he showed his worth with a goal and an assist in his 73 minutes on the pitch to earn his standing as one of the best players in Serie A on the opening weekend.

Giroud’s breakdown of Sorare points in the game was:

  • General: 1
  • Defence: 0
  • Possession: 0.7
  • Attack: 6.5
  • Decisive: 70
