Sorare Serie A football preview: Napoli vs Inter Milan

Napoli were crowned official Serie A champions after a protracted wait to end a 33-year wait for the title and host Inter Milan on Sunday with the celebrations set to continue.

They have won just one in four matches and two in eight as the victory procession turned into something of a limp over the finish line, but a win over Inter would be a crowning moment in a famous season, while Inter have their eyes firmly on the Champions League final after seeing off AC Milan over two legs.

The game will be part of Gameweek 371 on Sorare Football, and 101 Great Goals has broken down the key statistical takeaways ahead of the game.

Three Napoli Sorare gems to watch

Mathias Olivera

Olivera has often been in and out of the Napoli starting XI this season, with 15 starts and 13 substitute appearances throughout the campaign, but he has become a key part of the side in recent weeks. He has now started the last six games at full-back having missed the defeat to AC Milan through injury, and averaged 60 points per game in his last five (L5) matches. Among those were a 75 and 94 – the latter coming against Salernitana – so if he hits the right notes against Inter he will be a good pick.

Giacomo Raspadori

Raspadori is another who has been in and out of the starting line-up of late. A hamstring injury kept him out of action for a month before he was dropped for the win over Juventus. His selection for this game could be in doubt, but he has shown that he is capable of contributing off the bench. A goal and an assist as a substitute in the last four games, and an L5 rating of 54 suggest he is a player capable of making decisive contributions irrelevant of whether he starts or not.

Three Inter Milan Sorare gems to watch

Romelu Lukaku

While he is not exactly an unknown quantity, Lukaku could be a good selection for this weekend’s fixture. The season has not gone to plan for the former Manchester United and Chelsea striker, with just 16 league starts all season but the Champions League run has seen him get a bit more playing time in the league. With Edin Dzeko trusted to lead the line in Europe, Lukaku has got more time in the league with the squad rotated, and has responded with five goals and three assists in his last four league appearances, while he contributed an assist off the bench on Tuesday night. Lukaku will be desperate to prove a point as the season comes to a close.

Francesco Acerbi

The 35-year-old is Inter’s most in-form Sorare player, with the highest L15 average of 57 over the last five matches while also accumulating the most minutes among the squad in that time. His scores have averaged off into the 50s of late, but with individual performances of 80 and 70 within his last 10 matches he is more than capable of helping shut out Napoli and scoring highly. If Napoli’s recent struggles continue, then Acerbi is likely going to be a high scorer this weekend.

Hakan Calhanoglu

Calhanoglu is a crucial part of the Inter midfield, participating in 90% of their last 40 matches and averaging 58 over that period and performing a crucial role in their run to the Champions League final. Over the two legs in Europe, he scored a 62 and 65, two scores which were preceded by a 91 and 76 among other scores as the midfielder has gone from strength to strength over the season. If Inter are to perform well, then Calhanoglu will be integral to that.
